The Planet and I really wants to wish You all a merry christmas and a happy new year. We cant wait to play the new songs at the gigs next year. 2008 has been a big roller coaster ride for us all. First we had to say goodbye to Rasmus who I had played with for half my life - then hello to the Plengstar who fortunately fell right into the mix very quickly - then the release of the album we never finished and finally the very close and intimate process of trying to write new songs in the rehearsal room. Wow, 2008 has definitely been a special ride.
Next year is hopefully going to be our year and we once again want to express our deepest gratitude towards all you faithful supporters who has stuck by us all these years. We will rock you.

Hi folks, long time since last but we’ve been busy writing new killer material. Mortens past as a kickass metal drummer is really starting to kick in when we’re writing songs. Up beat is the key word and I’m currently screaming more than I’m singing and it feels great. We are all excited about the new songs and we can’t wait to show you all what we have been doing since releasing “the album we never finished” in September.

since we launched the album we never finished 2 weeks ago we have had problems with the download part. However a lot of people have been listening to the streamed versions and I’m very happy to announce that you can now all download the songs i 320kb/s quality. Hi folks,
special news, we have now uploaded our “Chinese Democracy”. Sketches for an album which was never finished. You can hear the songs and download them for free in a high quality. The band consider this to be a service to all of you who have been waiting for so long for our “album” to be released.
The fact is that so many things have changed since The Plengstar started pounding drums in Planet of Sound and we’re currently writing a lot of new material. But nevertheless we wanted to show you all what we’ve been doing for so long.
Therefore, check out the music page to listen to the streamed songs or download them in high quality and spread the word to all your friends. We look forward to hearing you guys singing along at our next concerts to other songs than “Shoegazer”

Hey folks!
I hope you’re allright and that everyone had a great summertime.
We set up the recording gear in our rehearsal space last night, and though it’s gonna get tight and hot in there, I’m excited to track some new demos for you all to enjoy!
I’m looking forward to the process of writing new material and most of all to playing in Horsens later this fall, and i know that everyone here is.

We at the planet just wanted to say: Have a great summer everyone. We hope you’ll all see some great concerts at the festivals around the world. We’re also going on a summer break now so it will propably be a while before we’ll write again.
To everyone who attended our concert on friday last week we say thanks. We had a blast and setting some good examples for the corrupted youth out there we got very pissed after the show.

Hi fans.
We’re playing a gig at Hvidovre Hospitals Kollegie on friday 27th of June (this friday). The show will be a showcase where we’ll introduce our new drummer “The Plengster”. We’ll try out some new material and show our most faithfull fans what Planet of Sound is all about in the summer of 2008. We’ll also play an interesting cover which hopefully will surprise the shit out of all the listeners. We really look forward to playing the gig and after an intense pratice session this evening I can guarantee you all a fantastic expierience. Hans will propably dress like a queen and Tue will be hammered as usual. Morten “The Plengster” will be almost naked and I will be drop dead geourgeus as hell.
Come by and support us. It will be a blast.

It’s been a while since my last post but now some news from the band. First and foremost we’ve been thinking about the upcoming album release and discussing which form it should be in. We’re not quite sure yet about how we want to release the material but hopefully we can let you all know very soon. There are so many options today concerning media and we want to make sure that we pick the right one for Planet of Sound. Also the quality is very important to us since we don’t want to release something you’ve all been waiting for the last two years before we’re 100% happy and satisfied with it. One guy resently stated that we should call our album “The Chineese Democracy” refering the the long awaited Guns N’ Roses album. Very funny, but we know what Axl Rose must be going through (LOL).
Anyway…we’re playing a gig @ “Det gule pakhus” in Horsens November 8th.
And we’re also planning a free / surprise gig somewhere i DK on June 21st where we’re trying out some of the new material written after Morten joined the band, so look out for that.

Hi folks, it’s been a while since my last post, but we’ve been very busy in the rehearsing room rocking it out with our new drummer Morten. Both by getting him up to speed on the “album” songs but also writing new songs for the future. We’re very exited about the new stuff but also about the shape we’re in already after only one and a half months laying with Morten.
NOW, we’ve decided a bit more concerning the album release. The album will be released in September and we’re working hard at the moment to finish all the practical work including designing the cover, preparing all drop dead gorgeous posters for the teenage rooms all over the world and more. So we hope You can all wait until then.
We will still do the “online release party” but we’ll return with more info on this later on.

Hi folks,
we’ve started rehearsing with our new drummer Morten and it’s really kicking some ass. Mortens style is clearly relfecting some of his earlier drumming gigs pounding down on the drums with intensity and pure raw power. After the first couple of nights Tue, The Kid and I we’re looking at each other with big smurks on our faces. We never anticipated it to work this fast after playing with Rasmus for so many years, but the future looks bright.
The album is done except for some percussion and the final mixing. After completion in the very near future we’ll ask a lot of record companies if they want to release it for us and. BUT before that we’re planning to have some kind of online album release party where we’re putting all the tracks in full length on this website so you can all have a listen. We’ll be back with details on this later. So now after waiting for 2 years, you’ll all finally get to hear the debut album with your favourite band Planet of Sound. Title of the album is “A Year With Thirteen Months”.
