On thursday we moved into our new studio which is amazing. It’s everything we have ever wanted from a creative rehearsal room / studio. Right away we put up our gear and turned on the power. For the first time since March we all played together as a band and found that we could still remember our songs. Wow, what a relieving feeling to get all that tension out of our bodies.
Starting this next week we’ll rehearse and write new material and make plans for the future of Planet of Sound….or “Planet aus Larm” as the Kid and I have called the band for laughs since we started writing new songs this summer. Hopefully we’ll be able to release new songs in one way or the other within a short while. More on that later.
The hopes are to make 12-15 new great anthems and go on a thrilling spree next year. Maybe play a gig at the Roskilde Festival. The dreams are many once again and I can feel that we will be stronger than ever within a few months - or at least I hope so
Stay cool and check out the web for many hidden Planet of Sound rarities.

Last night, the Kid and I worked on some new songs and came to a good conclusion. Rock music is better when it’s written by impulse.
We’re still working on the right location to build our studio project and it’s unfortunately taking a bit longer than first anticipated. But we want this to 100% right for us in order to get all the creativity out of it we need.
So far while looking for the right spot we’re working on new tracks and recording demo tracks. It’s strange not to play in the rehearsal space but we hope to get started very soon.
Until next time……remember rubber if you like to have spare time to drink, fuck and play rock’n'roll

Hi folks,
after a long deserved holiday break we’re back. Next week we’ll start building our new studio where we’ll begin to write and hopefully record new material from september. We’ve all been looking forward to this new start with a lot of anxiety. Never before in the 8 year history of the band have we had such a long time apart. However sometimes it’s necessary to be apart in order to regain the enthusiasm and inspiration needed to renew the passion in a real rock band.
Personally I can’t wait to scream in the microphone and strike that first power chord on my guitar in the new studio and see what comes of it.
Live…..well, we’ll start getting gigs again when we’ve got something new you guys can’t live without, so look out for concerts in the future. You wont get disappointed.
I can’t explain how I feel about the rest of the guys in the band. It’s love, passion, adoration..well…family I guess. Music is something I can’t live without and the community in a well running band is key when it comes to good quality. Take a look at the five Metallica concerts in Copenhagen recently. Who would ever have thought this possible after watching “somekind of monster”? People grow. Sometimes they grow apart. Sometimes the grow together.
Planet of Sound is back and we’ll be better than ever before when we’re settled.
Peace out

back on track kicking back
working hard being smart
all the guys getting ready
slowly paced going steady
feeling bored working hard
getting started looking for it
We’re back in business again after a few months on the flipside. The Plengstar’s other half gave birth to their son in May and we’ve been taking a creative break for a while on that account.
The kid and I are currently working on some tracks and a case of brew. Both to be finished tonight hopefully. This intermediate break has been good for us all since we’ve all been busy nursing our rock’n'roll egos trying to figure out how we could ever become more cool than we all are now. We look forward to getting started again writing more new material.
To all you fuckers out there we wish you a great festival season and hope you all get layed by the beauties booties of your dreams.
Peace, fuck and rock’n'roll

All right, we played on Lades on Tuesday and we want to say thanks to everyone who attended the show. The outcome was amazing considering it was a weekday. Thanks everyone….
Pictures from the show on saturday will be uploaded shortly or as soon as the Kid has got the time necessary…
Well it’s back to the songwriting for a while, the feedback to our new material was great both on saturday and on tuesday and we want to give you all even more. So for the next couple of months or so we will be writing new songs and maybe do some recordings for everyone to listen to. We’ll see.
It’s been nice and satisfying for all of us in the band to get Morten incorporated into our live shows and I’m sure the future shows will get only better and better. So if any of you want to book us for a gig - just let us know (write an e-mail to booking@planetofsound.dk).
Finally we’ve been talking about creating a new webpage and the Kid is currently thinking about layout options since he’s the webpage-wiz in the band. More on that when we actually decide on what to do about it,
We look forward to playing more shows in the future near you…
Peace out

Hi folks, on saturday we’re playing a gig in Horsens at “Det Gule Pakhus” and we’re static. We’ve pretty much been writing new songs and learning to play with our new drummer since last summer so this will be a great evening to go and watch the Planet of Sound in action. The new songs are much heavier than anything we’ve been doing before and it feels great. Furthermore we will be teaming up with some of my own idols in the form of the band Turbonelson which I strongly recommend. These guys know how to rock.
We all hope to see there. Look for details in the “Shows” page.
Until saturday, stay cool

Hi folks, happy new year to you all. We hope you all had a blast and got safely into 2009. At least we did.
It’s now been possible to download the “album we never finished” which we called Sketchbook 2001-2008 (A year with thirteen months) for a couple of months and I’m surprised how many of you already downloaded it. This is great news to us of course however we’ve also been told that it can be difficult for some people to locate the link to the zip file in their browser. Therefore we hereby by request submit a direct link to the 12 songs in HIGH quality. If you want to listen to the songs first you can check them out in the music page where you click the sketchbook icon and the player will launch. Now to the serious business - here’s the link: Sketchbook 2001-2008 (A Year With Thirteen Months)
We’re still working on gigs for this year and hopefully we can tell you soon what’s up. The guys and I will start again next week concentrating on finishing some of the new songs plus figuring out a set for the next concerts. It will be much harder rocksongs than we’ve ever done before and it feels great. Hope you’ll get the same feelings we do.
Peace, love and rock’n'roll until next
Jay
